i had dream i had to go sit a mock exam at school during the break. in the exam room i sat next to my friend in a seat in which i could easily cheat since i had not studied for this test, but after i turned around for a second she appeared in front of the class, sitting at the teacher’s desk and waiting to take the exam as if she was never seated next to me. in her old seat, next to me, was another classmate, a nerd, but on my other side sat the exam supervisor who wanted to catch cheaters from a seat closer to the students. when the exam started, the literature questions turned into math problems and i had no issue solving them since i am better at math than literature, which was the exam i came in to take. after solving 2/3 of the problems, a school bell rang, signaling the start of a break, which is impossible during and exam, but i got up like everybody else and left the classroom. once outside, i realized we were in somebody’s home, more exactly a fellow classmate named A. i started exploring the rooms when i noticed another classmate was following me, let’s name her D. this classmate and i were close for a long time until she developed a nasty personality and we fell off. i decided to look at my phone which made me notice the date — it was my birthday and i got sad since nobody had told me “happy birthday” and i had to sit this exam on a day supposed to be happy. immediately after that thought, i got two messages from two of my classmates who i am not close with but who were congratulating me for my birthday. i continued exploring the rooms until i reached a bedroom full of books out of which i picked one, “Ulysses”, and started shuffling through the pages. D was still behind me so i took the book and got back to the exam room where everybody besides the supervisor, the nerd, D, and me left. the nerd was still taking the exam and i started panicking as i had not finished my set of problems, but as i reached my desk i saw that the math problems turned back into literature questions and i had no idea as to how i could answer. D started talking to the supervisor and making sly remarks towards me about how people shouldn’t steal other people’s books and they need to ask before borrowing one, making a reference to the book i got earlier from the bedroom which was A’s boyfriend’s. i got mad and decided not to finish the exam since it was a waste of time, so i handed in the paper and got home where i started reading the “stolen” book, Ulysses. at home i realized i had not spoken a word all day long and i had felt as if my throat was full of slime and i could choke on it had i opened my mouth.
This dream may represent your fear of failure or being unprepared for a test or challenge in your waking life. The fact that you were able to cheat but then lost that opportunity may indicate your desire for a shortcut or an easier way out, but realizing it's not possible. It's interesting to note that the literature questions turning into math problems may suggest a subconscious desire for a more logical, problem-solving approach to challenges, rather than relying on creativity or intuition. The fact that it was your birthday and no one wished you well may indicate your fear of being ignored or overlooked in your waking life. The fact that you ended up alone, reading a book, and feeling like your voice was choked may suggest a desire for solitude or introspection, but also feeling silenced or unheard in some aspect of your life. Overall, this dream may represent your subconscious processing of stress or pressure in your waking life, and a desire for a better way to cope with it.
